What You Need To Know About Advertising

How do you get visitors to see your brand new website? “Quick answer,” you have to ADVERTISE it. Yes! I know you already know this and, you have probably got the mother of a hard luck story to tell me about how a Advertising agency ripped you off. “I would really love to hear it” but, this article is not actually about…

Advertising agencies.

It’s about Internet Marketing Advertising, and showing you why it is necessary.

Why Should You Advertise?

1)For Exposure: you need people to see exactly what you are offering, and by choosing to advertise, you can get a lot of people to see your website very quickly for free or at a very low cost. Just remember that in most cases you will always get better results if you use a paid online advertising service.

2)For Reputation: People will trust you more if you are willing to pay for your advertising, they will perceive you as someone who is serious about their business. Paying for expensive advertising will instill confidence in all potential customers to your website, which greatly increases your chances of making that sale.

3)For Leverage: considered by many experts to be the most important benefit of advertising. One of the major problem’s that you face if you are a “NEWBIE” in Affiliate Marketing is trying to convince people to purchase something from you without any proof of your earnings or testimonial’s from people that you know.

By using leverage, you can ride on the back of the already successful online marketers by saying…

..”Here is how I make a £1000 a day working at home”,

but in this instance, the word I is referring to the person who actually wrote the sales page that you are using, and not yourself. this is the true power of using leverage.

Now you know the reasons why you must advertise your website, Let’s move on to identifiying the 3 main advertising types that are the most popular online.

1)Involentary: this refers to any form of advertising that you are forced to look at, this includes pop ups,pop unders or some dodgy code that someone has left on your browser that prevents you from leaving their webpage easily.
2)Volentary: this refers to people making a conscious decision to visit your website, without any encouragement from yourself or others. this type of advertising includes Pay Per Click, Banners, Classified ads, or Safelists.

3)Incentive: this refers to you being paid to look at other people’s ads. Your payment can be in the form of credits and in some cases money. Any credits that you earn can be used to advertise your own website, and if have a downline, there are some advertising sites that will allow you to offer your credits to members of you’re downline.

This Type of advertising includes, Traffic Exchanges, Paid to read emails, and Paid to surf websites.

If you have just got you’re brand new website up and running, then you really have to advertise it. After all, you have no list or JV (Joint venture partners) that you can call on.

There is no doubt, that advertising can be a risky business but, if you take a baby step approach to it. You can still acheive spectacular results without running up huge advertising costs.

    Hi Fernanda

Thanks for your comments. I think that it is always wise to consult others, and do some basic background checks, before you purchase anything that you see advertised online.

    Hi Hunter

Thanks for your comments, I found your recommended web site about controlling lower back pain very interesting.

Making corrections is easier and faster in the Internet marketing world. Editing text or adding or deleting graphics in an ad, based on customer feedback, is easily done in Internet marketing. Target marketing also works better here. While marketing offline, target marketing is more centered on geographic locations whereas with Internet marketing, identifying and accessing target markets based on race, ethnicity, socio-economic conditions, age, hobby, profession, gender etc. is easier.

      Hi Ela

Thanks for your comments. I agree with most of your points about the differences between online advertising and off-line advertising, but by far, the biggest difference between the two is the advertising cost.

yo this site is not displaying properly. Im using opera and vista. Any Help?

    • Paul Profitt says:

      Hi Tom

I have been testing to see how my website looks on a number of different web browsers including opera. So far my blog looks fine but, there are so many different browsers. I'm afraid that its virtually impossible for my website to look good in all of them. All I can suggest to you is to use FireFox or Windows Explorer.

I have been looking for some sites to read more and this post gets my attention. Good thing that I come across your site that tells people what they want to know. This is really helpful and educational. I already added this site to my reader to be the among the first to read your new posts.

      Hi Rashad

I thank you for your comments

I've had a look at your blog, and all I can say is "Dont Believe The Hype" regarding the people search system. The guy in the video makes it all sound soo easy, but it will take you a long time before you make anything like the money he is earning.

I don’t know why but my browser doesn’t seem to be able to display this article accurately… It looks like some part of it is not correctly displayed and the skin of your page does not appear to be right. Are you sure this post has been tested with Google Chrome?

  10. What a radical opinion. I agree with you but need to think through what you are saying before reformulating my own thinking.

      Hey Erwin

I think that you need to reformulate your thinking "quickly" because, I've just seen the SEO website that you are recommending to people, and all I can say is, that there is absolutely "no way" that I would ever pay those prices to send traffic to my website.
