Why Should You Use WordPress?

There has never been a better time for you to get started online especially if you already have a small business. Prices have fallen considerably over the years and the technology has got better.

You no longer have to shell out thousands of dollars to establish your online business. In fact, you can get your first website up and running for FREE.

I have been telling anybody and everybody that, when it comes to building your first small business website,WordPress is the only way to go.

WordPress is used on  Million of websites world wide,  which should be a good enough reason for you to learn why WordPress is so highly rated by so many successful small business owners.

Here are my Top 5 Reasons why you should strongly consider using WordPress for building your website:

1. Great Content Management System

You are building your first website so I am assuming that you want features that are relatively easy to understand.

You will want to be able to  add/edit/delete your content, including images and videos, and if you are really too busy to do all of these essential task yourself then, you will need a safe Admin Center so that you can outsource this work to others while having complete control over their access levels.

2. It’s Completely Open Source

Don’t beat up your brains if you don’t completely understand the term “open source” what you really need to know is that wordpress is written in a industry standard web-programming language.

This means that you, or that very expensive web designer/developer that your thinking of hiring, can alter the code on the software to your specifications so that your website looks and performs  exactly  how you want.

3. Makes Search Engine Optimization (SEO) very easy to do

Trying to build your website without a good SEO strategy in place is like swimming against the tide in stormy weather. In other words, “you should never attempt it.”

Luckily for you there are some excellent wordpress plugins that will produce search engine friendly URL’s by the boat load, this will over time, give your small business website a massive boost in the Google search engine results.

4.You can Add Powerful Features with Hundred’s of Plugins

This is where wordpress really comes into its own. The plugins feature alone will enable you to save $1000’s of dollars. Forget about hiring somebody to customize specially added features on your website because, “YOU DON’T NEED THEM.”

There is a wordpress plugin that you can download for FREE, that will do virtually anything on your website that you can think of.

5. It’s Free

While it is true that you can download and use wordpress at no cost to yourself. I would advise that you do not go down this route because, most of those wonderful free plugins that I have just mentioned above will be restricted or not available to you on a free wordpress hosted website.

You must make sure that you’re blog is self hosted on its own domain name to get the best results, and it is worth remembering that wordpress is updated constantly to enhance existing features, security, and will continue to  develop new, cutting-edge features that make managing your website easier.
